History of the fashion house Gucci starts in 1906, when Guccio Gucci has opened his first workshop for making curtains in Florence. This business was not very flourishing, so Guccio went to Paris and London in order to learn the tastes and habits of wealthy people and find his own style. After he returned, fashion designer begins to produce elegant and high-quality leather goods: handbags, wallets, belts and other accessories. That’s when he chooses a legendary logo of two crossed letters G. His products start to enjoy a well deserved success and Guccio improves his skills day by day while skilfully using not only skin, but also very different and sometimes unexpected materials such as jute and bamboo for creation of his products. After the master’s death in 1938, the company passed into the hands of his four sons who change direction of the brand several times starting to produce luxury clothes and accessories, designed for very wealthy people. Brand has experienced many ups and downs, family feuds, reorganisation and changes of ownership for the time of its existence, but it still remains one of the most famous brands that produce high quality products, the epitome of taste, style and elegance.
